I have grown a lot since I decided to become an artist two years ago. I've chosen my artist name WHAM, a short explosion. That suits me: people often said to me you express yourself short and powerful. The inspiration for that name comes from the work of Roy Lichtenstein.

Where am I born? I was born in a small village called Wadway; which means: meadow besides the watercrossing. In that small community of perhaps a few hundred souls some were wise and a few understood the laws of nature exceptionally well. My contact with spirit was great from a young age on as they gave me insight in their knowledge.

The people in that community were very independent - in the 18th century they even declared independency and Wadway, for a few years or maybe decades, became an independent republic : - and they used no word too many. And so where my experiences of inner knowingness, telepathy and clairvoyance, short, brief, sparce but true.

During my life I was constantly on the lookout to grow and to gain more insight, so I investigated many spiritual paths because from a young age on I didn't feel well and many times I was sad. A sadness I couldn't lift no matter how I tried.

After secondary education I moved to Delft to study information science but didn't finish it, due to four mental breakdowns. It took me more than twelve years to recover. Following art classes at the "Vrije Academie", Psychopolis helped me. I met many great artist which gave their lessons there.
